Hello. I’m Richard Scott. I provide advice and develop strategies for founders and leaders of independent creative studios. Many are in the world of animation, visual effects, and post production. I'm also attached, as an Executive Producer, to creative projects that are finding their feet and in development.
I have worked in the Creative Industries for the last 33 years (I know right!) and have experience in the design, animation, advertising, video game, film and television worlds.
I co-founded Axis Studios and led it for 24 years, growing, guiding, and evolving that incredible team of creative people, creating an environment for them to make the best work of their lives. Every step of that journey was about learning something new, there was no blueprint and I’d never done it before.
That's why I loved it.
Eyes of Wakanda, a show I Exec Produced at Axis Studios, has been nominated in the Best TV/Media – Limited Series category at the 53rd Annie Awards. Congratulations to eveyone involved.

Alongside client Digikore VFX, I attended Focus London 2025 and the CO LAB workshops and talks. A hot topic, as you'd expect, was AI and what it means for the film and television world. Innovate, don't surrender, was the message.
Los Angeles World Animation Summit 2025.
As an Advisory Board Member of Animation Scotland I produced, and took part in a panel, at the World Animation Summit 2025. The importance of craft, innovation, and working with good people were the takeaways.

MOVE Summit 2025 was another great event. In my opinion one of the top three animation focused events in the UK. I had a delightful chat with Marissa Horwitz, Lead Editor on Pixar's Inside Out 2.
